Glossary

Both the wiki and community may use certain words, phrases or abbreviations where the meaning may not be entirely clear to newcomers. This glossary aims to compile the most commonly used phrases.

• 256k: Fluid tanks, due to their capacity of storing 256,000mB.

• AA:  Advanced alloy
• ABM: Anti-Ballistic Missile
• Amat:  Antimatter
• Aromatics:  Aromatic hydrocarbons
• Aschrab:  Antischrabidium
• Assemfac:  Assembly factory

B

• BAT, BAT9000, BAT9k: Big-Ass Tank 9000
• BF:  Balefire
• BFB: Bismuth fast breeder, a group of PWR fuels.
• Bismoid: Ore dict key for both  bismuth and  arsenic as well as their bronze variants. Generally refers to the post-RBMK gating materials.
• BOP: Bedrock ore processor
• BOT: Balls-O-Tron
• BRO: BedRock Ore

• CCGT:  Combined cycle gas turbine
• Chemfac:  Chemical factory
• Chungus: Internal name for the  leviathan steam turbine
• CIWS: Goalkeeper Twin Chaingun CIWS "Howard"
• Comboven:  Combination oven

• Digma:  Digamma
• Durasteel:  High-speed steel
• DNT:  Dineutronium
• DS: Dense steam

• Fwatz: Fusionary watz plant

• Hadron: Particle accelerator, specifically the deprecated version.
• HPS/Hiperf:  High-performance solvent
• HSS:  High-speed steel

I

• ICF: Inertial confinement fusion reactor

• ICE:  Industrial combustion engine

• Igen: Industrial generator

L

• Levi:  Leviathan steam turbine

• LPG:  Liquid petroleum gas

• LPS: Steam#Low-Pressure Steam

M

• Magtung:  Magnetized tungsten
• Mingrade:  Red copper

N

• Natgas:  Natural gas

O

• Oil 1: Basic oil processing using an oil refinery, products include diesel, kerosene and petroleum gas.
• Oil 2: Oil cracking, and processing cracked oil in an oil refinery, products include unsaturated hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons.
• Oil 2.5: Coker unit, which can produce certain cracked oil products, necessary for coker gas.
• Oil 3: Vacuum refining, yields products such as reformate, reformate gas and sour gas.
• Oil 3.5: Alternate routes for vacuum oils, using the hydrotreater or catalytic reformer.
• Ore slopper: Bedrock ore processor

• Weed: Hemp
• WIAJ: "World in a Jar", the visual demonstrations available for some machines when pressing shift + F1

• WP: White phosphorus

• ZFB: Zirconium fast breeder, a group of RBMK and ZIRNOX fuels.
