The Laser Pistol is a lategame energy weapon with a high ammo capacity but poor accuracy. Its damage is comparable to the comically long pistol, however it fires instant hitscans dealing laser damage, while having ammo reserves almost twice as big.
Crafting
The laser pistol requires saturnite and hard plastic/PVC, meaning it is available right after setting up a vacuum refinery:

Mechanics and Play
The laser pistol is semi-automatic but has a relatively high rate of fire, being able to shoot up to four times per second. Its main drawback is the accuracy, without aiming it is only effective at relatively short ranges due to the high spread. However, "aiming" proves difficult as the gun lacks sights, making it difficult to guess where shots might land. Furthermore, it's one of the few guns with innate spread, so even when aiming it is not fully accurate even when in good condition.

Pew Pew is laser pistol's B-side, firing five shots at once while only holding ten capacitors worth of charge. The name comes from the fact that it can, if fully loaded, fire exactly twice. Its base damage is lower and spread higher, however firing five shots at once still increases the effective damage output by a lot. Finally, it has two additional capacitors attached to the top of the chassis, making aiming even more difficult.

Trivia
- The laser pistol is based on the AEP7 laser Pistol from Fallout 3.
- The jamming animation has the battery latch jump back open before being closed again, after which the player character smacks the top of the gun with a resounding thud.
