High-Speed Steel (HSS or "Dura-Steel" in the files) is an alloy that serves as an advanced and specialized form of standard  steel. Its texture is similar to regular steel, but with a turquoise hue.

Production

It is created in a crucible by combining normal steel with tungsten and cobalt.

Uses

  • It's an ingredient to make the battery-powered electric power tool family: the stunstick (electric sword), electric chainsaw (electric axe), impact drill (electric pickaxe), and spiral drill (electric shovel), all of which are very good tools that can mine very hard blocks quickly and can recover their "durability" easily by recharging.
  • High-speed steel bolts are used alongside a pneumatic rivet gun to make the  watz power plant and the  ICF.
  • It is also used as a material in certain gun parts, such as the Liberator.
  • The centrifuge element, required to make a centrifuge.

Trivia

  • It's not actually used in high-speed rails.
  • Its block form is called the "Reinforced Block of High-Speed Steel" though there is no "unreinforced" or normal block.
