Liquid oxygen, sometimes abbreviated as LOX or LOXygen is the liquid form of molecular oxygen. It is generally used as an oxidizer. Its temperature is -100°C or -148°F. It is gaseous at room temperature.

Production

Uses

  • Arc Welder:
    • 1,000 mB of liquid oxygen and 2 cast technetium steel Plates produces 1 welded technetium steel plate.
    • 1,000 mB of liquid oxygen and 2 cast tungsten plates produces 1 welded cungsten plate.
    • 1,000 mB of liquid oxygen and 2 cast cadmium plates produces 1 welded cadmium plate.
  • Rocket fuel with kerosene.
  • Blowing up a tank with liquid oxygen inside, can cause the area around the tank to freeze.
