Oil rigs are huge structures found towering over the ocean, with four large columns supporting the main drilling superstructure, a sub-platform area, a main bridge room with two floors, a small office and storage area, and two on platform cranes.

Location

This structure is found in all ocean biomes (both deep and regular), and is slightly rarer than the lighthouses that may also be found in these biomes.

Dangers

These rigs are well lit, even when freshly generated, meaning mobs are not a significant concern on the platform. However, there are a considerable amount of anti-personnel mines dotted throughout the structure, making them exceedingly hazardous for unarmored players, unless great care is given. Holes in the structure provide a fall hazard, but aren't particularly dangerous due to the water below.
