Lights

From HBM's Nuclear Tech Wiki

Lighting is an important part of base building, preventing hostile mob spawns, making it easier to find your way around, and improving your bases aesthetics. However, you may find the torches and glowstone blocks available in the base game to be visually incongruent to your high tech machines and reactor facilities. To this end, the mod provides various options for lighting your bases, some of which can extend beams of light considerably farther than any vanilla lights can, which can make lighting up very large bases a breeze.

Industrial Lights

The light beam ranges of the cage lamp, the fluorescent light, and the halogen floodlight respectively

These industrial lights all project beams of various lengths in order to illuminate much larger areas than regular light blocks.

Cage Lamp

The cage lamp projects a beam of light 2 blocks ahead, and is the cheapest of the three industrial lights, and can be an effective torch replacement. It is crafted in a crafting table like so:

Glass Pane
Tungsten Wire
Iron Ingot
Cage Lamp8

Fluorescent Light

The fluorescent light is the next tier, projecting light 8 blocks ahead. This makes it a great option for ceilings in factories. These lights automatically join together into strips when placed next to each other. It is crafted like so:

Glass Pane
Drop of Mercury
Aluminium Plate
Fluorescent Light8

Halogen Floodlight

The halogen floodlight is the most powerful lamp available, projecting light a whopping 32 blocks ahead, making it indispensable in illuminating vast swathes of terrain. It is crafted with the following recipe:

Glass Pane
Bromine Powder
Steel Plate
Halogen Floodlight8

Tritium Lamps

The area illuminated by both tritium lamps

The two tritium lamps project light similarly to the industrial lights, but in all cardinal directions, lighting up a very large diamond shape centered on the block. Both lamps send out beams that are 8 blocks long.

Green Tritium Lamp

This lamp is crafted with tritium, red phosphorus, and sulfur, crafted with the following recipe:

Glass
Red Phosphorus
Tritium Cell
Sulfur
Green Tritium Lamp

Blue Tritium Lamp

This lamp is produced similarly, with aluminium powder instead of sulfur:

Glass
Red Phosphorus
Tritium Cell
Aluminium Powder
Blue Tritium Lamp
