The Electric Heater is a 3x4x1 machine that provides thermal units (TU) by using HE, and transferring it to machines that require them to operate, like a boiler. This machine that requires HE energy to produce TU, the other 3 heat producing machines are the Firebox & Heating oven that require solid fuels, and the Fluid Burner which uses Combustible fluids to operate.

Operation

Just like its fluid and solid burning counterparts, the electric heater needs to be placed below the machine that requires the TU. Both its copper heat plate and the one in this electric heater must be aligned to work correctly. To ensure the electric heater generates heat, you need to adjust it by right-clicking with a Screwdriver. Minium value is 100 TU/t and maxium is 1000 TU/t. As its heat per tick value increases, its energy efficiency also decreases. It can take heat from below with 85% efficiency and can store any positive interger value (2147483647) which makes it the second best heat buffer, the first one is fluid heat exchanger, because it has 100% heat efficiency.

Trivia

  • It does not produce any pollution.
  • It's a pretty bad machine for heat production, as there are better heat sources such as fluid burners filled with petroleum products or heating oven with solid fuel.
  • This machine does not have an interface, unlike its analogues.
  • Thermal efficiency decreases as the amount of stored heat increases.
