Firebox & Heating Oven
The Firebox and the Heating Oven are machines capable of producing heat (TU) from solid fuels for any machines that require heat to operate, such as the Stirling engine. If you require heat generation from fluids, you'll require a fluid burner, and for heat from electrical power, you'll require an electric heater
Crafting
Both machines are crafted in an anvil, the firebox is crafted with the following materials:
The heating oven is crafted similarly, like so:
Operation
Both machines are similar in operation. In order for them to transfer heat, another machine for receiving the heat must be placed on top, such that the copper heat plate on the receiving machine sits on top of the copper heat plate of the heat producing machine.
Once constructed, these machines can be filled with solid fuel, which will burn until either the fuel runs out, or the heat buffer is filled. Once the heat buffer is filled the machine will automatically stop consuming fuel.
The primary difference in these two machines lie in their speed. The heating oven is almost always preferred over the firebox, due to it's higher heat capacity and faster burning. However, if this machine is to be used to heat a Stirling engine, the heating oven will likely over-speed and damage the engine, sending the main gear flying. The heavy Stirling engine does not have this issue.
Another difference between these two heat producing machines, is that the heating oven can receive heat from other heat producing machines placed underneath it. Note however, that the heat received is halved when transferring through to the machines above.
Fuel Bonuses
Certain fuels, when used in both the firebox and the heating oven, confer bonuses to burn time and heat produced, making them ideal to use over other valid fuels.
