Decoration Blocks are blocks with no functional use at all, meant mainly to decorate spaces and buildings. for this purpose, they are usually cheap to mass produce, but some of them are uncraftable and must be found in structures.
Most decorative blocks, including the uncraftable ones, can be recycled in an 
anvil or 
shredder, usually at the same ratio of crafting those blocks. This allows for obtaining important materials and circuits in the early-game by breaking them off most structures and recycling them.
Deco Blocks
Deco Blocks are general metallic blocks, which are made with one ingot of a certain material. Said material could be 
steel, 
aluminium, 
beryllium, 
lead, 
red copper, 
titanium or 
tungsten.
Crafting
Deco blocks can be made in tier 1 anvils:

Uses
Aside from their decorative uses, deco blocks can also be recycled back into ingots in an anvil at 100% efficiency (50% for the rusty steel variant).
Since they are the most prevalent decorative blocks in structures, they are the most useful for early-game material gathering.

Platemetal
Platemetal blocks are cheap building blocks made out of 
iron plates. They are available in 15 different colors, in addition to the default variant (replaces gray Platemetal). They can not be found in any structures since none of them use Platemetal yet.
