Reactor grade Americium is a mixture between the Am-242m (~66.667%, 6 nuggets) and Am-241 (~33.333%, 3 nuggets) isotopes. It is considered medium enriched.

Production

Mixing 6 Am-242m and 3 Am-241 nuggets or 2 Am-242m and 1 Am-241 billet together.

RG Americium can be bred using Reactor Grade Americium Zirconium Fast Breeder which yields 43.3% RG Americium fully depleted, with an initial investment of 1 RG Americium nugget per billet, making a total of 8 nuggets in investment per rod to potentially get ~20-21 nuggets (assuming normal distribution).

Uses

Production of Low and Medium Enriched Americium Fuel.

The SILEX can re-separate the isotopes, for their own uses.
