The Fire Extinguisher (as the name implies) is a tool to help put out fires. Rather than being a weapon, that it is very ineffective at, the Fire Extinguisher is used for various utility. It has no available modifications. Visually, its looks are similar to the typical ABC fire extinguisher.
Mechanics and Play
The Fire Extinguisher can be filled with tanks, which come in three different types. It can put out fires near-immediately once fired (compared to the chemthrower, which has a tiny delay). One unique feature is that when filled with boron sand, it can absorb radiation from nuclear waste and blown up RBMK reactor parts.
It is also one of the only tools known to put out balefire (through the foam tank), albeit ineffective once the balefire spreads far enough.
Ammo
The Fire Extinguisher has three ammo types:
Fire Extinguisher Water Tank: Standard, puts out fires
Fire Extinguisher Foam Tank: Can put out balefire
Fire Extinguisher Sand Tank: Mitigates block radiation
Trivia
- The "boron sand" tank is a direct reference to the Chernobyl disaster, in which helicopters dumped 5,000 tonnes of boron and sand (among other materials) onto the exposed reactor core.
- It can also dupe boron sand, because it can fire many more blocks than is required to make it.
- The back of the fire extinguisher model has instructions, presumably on how to use the extinguisher
