From HBM's Nuclear Tech Wiki

Nuclear fuel specifically for the PWR.

Production

Unlike most other solid fuel reactors that use fuel in the shape of rods, the fuel bundles that the PWR uses are effectively disposable. That is, there is no reusable container and it is destroyed when the fuel cycle is complete and the spent fuel is recycled.

Usage

For more information, see: Guide: Recycling Depleted Fuel

As with most nuclear fuels, however, the spent fuel ejected from the reactor is very hot and must be cooled down in a spent fuel cooling pool drum before it can be recycled.
