Mining Charge

The Mining Charge is an explosive made with the express purpose of mining. Before suitable pickaxes are available, it is commonly used to extract depth ore, as it does not destroy drops. It has an explosion radius of about 3 blocks and explodes instantly upon being powered by redstone. Its explosion does no damage to entities.

There are two additional variants of charges, that being the timed mining charge and the semtex mining charge. Both are timed explosives, with the semtex charge being stronger than the regular one and having Fortune III; the timed charge does not have enhanced capabilities, other than being timed and thus more convenient to use.
Detonation
To use the standard mining charge, place it on the ground and use a , just like any other bomb. When activating the explosive, keep a safe distance (unless wearing a strong armor set).
Crafting
The mining charge is made using either flint, iron plates and dynamite or flint, steel plates and semtex or C-4 with the latter being the more efficent recipe making 12 of them at a time. This makes the mining charge available early to mid-game into progression.
The semtex mining charge is instead made with sticks of semtex and duct tape.

Timed Mining Charge
The timed mining charge is crafted simply using a time bomb and flint.
