Depth ore deposits are special ores that form deep underground in the overworld and in the nether roof, and can only be destroyed, and therefore drop items, via explosion. They are likely going to be the ideal block to use Mining Charges with.
Utilization
Depth rock allows to get some more difficult materials in mid to early game. When broken, they drop 1 crystal of that material, with some exceptions. The following materials can be found within:
- Iron
- Titanium
- Tungsten
- Zirconium
- Drops ~3 splinters instead
- Cinnabar (Mercury)
- Drops ~3 pieces instead
- Borax
- Drops 1 borax
- Nether Neodymium
- Drops ~3 fragments instead
