Toolbox

The Toolbox is a highly useful item designed for storage and seamlessly swapping the player's hotbar with the rows with items contained within it.

The toolbox only requires basic ingots and plates, meaning it is available right after the burner press:

Usage

Its interface can be accessed by Shift + Right-clicking while holding the item. Items and tools can then be stored in the Toolbox.

Right-clicking while holding the item replaces the current hotbar with the rows stored in the Toolbox.

Trivia

Before the release of X5279, the toolbox functioned like a kit which could be "filled" with up to eight items by adding them in the crafting grid. Despite the name, the toolbox could not hold many tools like screwdrivers or hand drills because they are not consumed when used in crafting, which would cause the items to be duplicated.
