Trinitite is a type of nuclear waste created by the fallout of a nuclear explosion. It is essentially nuclear glass.

Production

It is obtained by exposing sand (both normal and red) to a nuclear explosion's fallout effects. When its ore is mined without silk touch, it drops a piece of trinitite.

Trinitite is the only material that can be made back into its ore form, though this won't cause any exploits because it always drops one.

Uses

It can be made into radioactive blocks.

Its ore form can be smelted into "Trinity Glass". Similar to uranium or polonium glass, it is mostly a novelty. It is lime colored, so it can be used in recipes requiring lime glass.

Trivia

  • You can buy trinitite in real life. It is not particularly dangerous (anymore),
  • In real life, it is produced by the extreme heat caused by nuclear explosions, so it is normally found at desert nuclear test sites.
    • It can also be produced with conventional explosives or any other kind of explosion, if powerful enough and near sand.
  • "Trinity Glass" is also a real thing, but it has no relation to a refined form of trinitite at all.
