Tainted Creeper

Background
The Tainted Creeper is an extremely dangerous variant of the creeper. It does not spawn naturally, thankfully. It has been added since the addition of Taint.
Creation
Like Nuclear Creepers, the tainted creeper is created when it comes into contact with an unusual substance. In this case: Taint. A creeper must actually come into contact with taint for it to turn.
Dangers
Like its radioactive brother, the tainted creeper is many times more dangerous than the normal creeper. It is even faster than nuclear creepers, but only about as tough to kill as normal creepers. Though their health is slightly lower than the vanilla creeper, it has high regeneration, we recommend you keep attacking and not stopping until it is dead. If it manages to detonate, it will not produce any block damage, instead, it will leave behind several taint blocks that can penetrate walls.
Uses/Farming
Tainted creepers can be created with inert taint and they drop 2 TNT instead of the 1 that nuclear creepers drop. This makes tainted creepers also a worthwhile mob to farm, a bit more safe than nuclear creepers as taint can be contained easier.
Trivia
- You need to kill a Tainted Creeper with a Falling Boxcar for the Secret Catalogue achievement
- Like radiation, creepers are not harmed by the taint status effect.
- Creepers transform instantly when in contact with taint unlike nuclear creepers, where it takes some time.
- Taint does not form naturally usually in worlds, so you should have no worry of one of these finding you. If you have the ”special meteors” config enabled, then meteors with taint in them can spawn. Finding one of these meteors is pretty rare though or you can use a Taint grenade
