Solinium is a schrabidium isotope (Sa327), not to be confused with the regular cyan-blue isotope Sa326. Its uses are more niche than the primary isotope, however, it is notably more energy dense, thus it is a more powerful fuel in a reactor.
It causes the same blindness effect as regular schrabidium.
Production
Primarily a (presumed) schrabidium-326 neutron capture product in nuclear reactors. It can also be extracted from schrabidium clusters from schrabidium that failed to turn into euphemium.
Uses
It is used in the bomb "The Blue Rinse".
It is also a strong PWR fuel, being more powerful than even HES-326. It has a higher chance to produce euphemium in its waste when recycled than typical schrabidium fuel.
Trivia
- Solinium is based off the radioactive element of the same name from the book series "Artemis Fowl."
- Prior to the breeder reactor and research reactor update, solinium was used to make euphemium.
- The reason for the different color may be due to a lack of certain type of radioactivity that the main element produces that reacts with the oxide layer, although it still causes blindness.
