Reactor Grade Plutonium (RGPu) is a mixture of Pu-239 (2/3rds, 6 nuggets) and Pu-240 (1/3rd, 3 nuggets) isotopes. It is a natural product of raw plutonium enrichment, but it can be produced artificially as well through breeding or fuel reprocessing.
Production
- Usually plutonium hexafluoride enrichment or as a major byproduct of uranium fuel recycling.
- Breeding Uranium in a Chicago pile.
- Mixing 6 Pu-239 and 3 Pu-240 nuggets on a crafting table.
Uses
- Use the SILEX to separate the plutonium isotopes, usually for weapons production.
