Plutonium is a radioactive artificial element added by NTM. It is very useful in bombs and fuel. It is generally much more powerful than uranium in both roles, but it is also more dangerous to work with.
Production

For the most part, it can only be obtained by breeding natural unenriched uranium or recycling certain forms of spent fuel.
It can be obtained in the Nether however if you have Nether plutonium ore enabled in config.
Its powder and crystal form may be obtained from drops by the asteroid mining ship.
Uses
- It must be processed into plutonium hexafluoride in order for it to be enriched.
- Specific isotopes:
- Pu-238 has a role in RTG pellets which are somewhat useful.
- Pu-239 is extremely useful in fuel and nuclear weapons.
- Pu-240 isn't really useful at all outside of a moderate fuel role and is generally a nuisance otherwise.
- Pu-241 is an extremely powerful fuel/breeding material, but is also very hard to obtain.
- "Unenriched" plutonium is used in euphemium production via dark matter.
- It can also be used in the Custom Nuke. It contributes a 1.15 multiplier to its nuclear stage.
- It breeds into nuclear waste.
Trivia
- 33.3% Pu-238, 44.4% Pu-239, 22.2% Pu-240.
- By technicality, it is found in real life naturally, but only in trace amounts so it doesn't really count.
- For a very long time, Plutonium did not have a block form. One was added along with blocks for isotopes and fuel.
