The Geiger counter is a device used to measure RAD/s, in order to inform the player of any eventual radiation. It is an upgrade to the dosimeter.

Functions

The Geiger counter can measure three different types of radiation with a practically infinite scope, those types being chunk radiation, environmental radiation and player contamination.

It can be used in one of two forms, either as a hand-held item or in its block form.

Holding it in the inventory will show a meter on the bottom left of the screen, and right clicking while holding it will send a message in chat showing the various doses of radiation.

It will also click whenever it reads any kind of radiation, a signature function of any dosimeter.

• The Geiger counter is modeled after the Thermofisher Scientific Minimonitor 900 Series Geiger Counter.
• Geiger counters use a Geiger–Müller tube to measure radiation.
• It will, in fact, measure more than 3.6 RAD/s.
