Gasoline

Gasoline is a combustible, flammable polluting liquid, with a high fuel grade, providing 605.0 kTU and 1.51 MHE per bucket. It is often used to generate energy but has other uses. Gasoline also has a leaded variant, with higher TU and HE, at the cost of more pollution.

  • Gasoline can also be used to make napalm B in a blast furnace with a slimeball and a canister of gasoline.
  • In a Crafting Table, any gasoline container (and leaded gasoline too) can be used to make a Tossable Gas an, which explodes in flames upon impact but doesn't destroy blocks.
  • Gasoline can also be used as fuel in the Chainsaw.

Leaded Gasoline

Leaded Gasoline is the leaded variant of gasoline, like other fluids that have a leaded variant, they offer a higher perfomance than the original fluid, but also add heavy metal pollution, making nearby glyphids stronger and increasing overall mob health.

Production

(In the uses of Gasoline)

Uses

  • Can only be used to make a Tossable Gas Can and fuel the Chainsaw, nothing other than that.

Trivia

  • In some way, the heavy metal pollution leaded variants add to the environment, translates to how in real life lead compounds are extremely toxic to humans, small amounts being enough to induce severe lead poisoning, having tetraethyllead banned for road vehicles worldwide over the decades. Algeria being the last one to ban it, in 2021, 100 years after it was introduced.
    • Leaded gasoline is still in use in small engine aviation as it is not regulated, despite it still being just as hazardous.
