Flashgold is an exotic material that is a magnetized gold-198 lattice with antimatter inside. It is used to make (virgin) balefire[Notes 1] without needing balefire to begin with. It is extremely radioactive at 250 RAD/s.

Use
Flashgold RBMK Fuel Rods to produce thermonuclear ashes from the spent fuel, which is then used to make balefire. This will yield on average 44 thermonuclear ashes or 11 balefire shards.
Trivia
- It is not pyrophoric, despite regular Au-198 being so.
