Factory

Factory
A factory in a desert super flat

The Factory is a self-explanatory structure that's seen better days. You can enter through the brick archways at the front or use the back door. Inside, it serves as a simple base template and offers some useful starter loot, machines, and resources.

Where to find

They are relatively uncommon and can appear in any non-ocean biome.

Dangers

In addition to vanilla mobs that can spawn in dark areas, the factory contains several present hostile entities equipped with the mod's armor and weapons.

Main Entrance: Two zombies with randomized armor spawn near the entryway.

Lava Furnace Room: A skeleton spawns here with armor and one of the following possible weapons:

Back Office: Another skeleton spawns behind the desk, armed with one of the following weapons:

Loot

There are four loot crates/chests and two lead anvils that can be found within the structure.

Chests

Shelf Chest: Located on a shelf in the lava furnace room. Contains common loot such as vaccum tubes, steel plates, and motors.

Shelf Crate: Located on the top right of the shelf, contains ammunition.

Platform Chest: Found on a suspended platform made of grates in the main hall. Contains large amounts of Aluminium, Steel, plates and a random amount of Analog Circuit Boards.

Lava Chest: Hidden beneath the lava below the chimney. Often contains weapon items, grenades, stimulants, and occasionally a rare schrabidium battery.

Blocks

The factory also includes several resource and decorative blocks that can be collected or recycled:

Most of the Deco Blocks can be recycled for additional materials.

Refurbishing

The factory has definitely seen better days, but it's still a surprisingly comfortable place to settle in. When lit up, it can serve as a solid early-game starter base.

  • Provides a decent shelter right away.
  • Contains plenty of Deco blocks that otherwise require time to craft.
  • Offers a lot of room for expansion.
  • Includes valuable early-game loot, including bullets, ingots, plates, and guns.
