Euphemium is a fictional material made up by this mod's creator. Euphemium serves as one of the game's most endgame materials and one of the most powerful ones. It's extremely expensive to produce in large amounts and you will need great advancement through the mod to use it effectively. It has ingot, nugget, powder, and block forms. It can't be made into a plate via the press, so it is made into compound plates. It may also be made into a single rod, although this does not have a purpose as of yet.

Uses

Euphemium can be used:

It has can be used in the Custom Nuke. It contributes 1 to the anti-mass stage. Ingots and nuggets contribute the same, so nuggets are preferred in this case.

Compound Plate Recipe

Euphemium cannot be stamped, so a plate form must be produced in one of the anvils using the following items:

Euphemium Ingot4
Astatine Powder3
Bismuth Powder
Volcanic Gem
Osmiridium Ingot
Tier 6 Anvil
Euphemium Compound Plate4

Production

See: Guide: Euphemium Creation for proper guide on all methods of production.

According to its "lore", it was first discovered among a pile of depleted schrabidium nuclear fuel. Although it isn't some kind of decay element, it does show that it is commonly formed when Schrabidium is put under intense conditions, similarly to how uranium turns into schrabidium while under other extreme conditions.

In order to obtain Euphemium, you need to first craft multiple schrabidium clusters. These require starmetal, schrabidium and ferric schrabidate, which requires a watz reactor. After you have multiple schrabidium clusters, find any balefire type bomb. A dud works the easiest as it has a small footprint and requires no fueling. After you get the bomb, place the schrabidium clusters around the bomb, similar to how you initially made schrabidium. After you are done, detonate the bomb, and any schrabidium clusters that have balefire on top of them will be transmutated into Euphenium-Etched schrabidium clusters, which can then be centrifuged into euphenium nuggets. This method is best used to aquire initial euphenium, as duds are rare and schrabidium clusters are very expensive.

Another form of production is in the chemical plant, Euphemium dynosynthesis process, very expensive as well and requires a Euphemium ingot to start with.

Properties

As Euphemium is an exotic matter, it exhibits very unusual properties:

  • Extremely high durability and apparently nigh-indestructible when compounded with astatine and osmiridium.
  • It can help create singularities, keep them stable, and contained.
  • It causes temporary paralysis when hit against a creature.
  • Almost completely inert nature.
  • Reverse gravity well.

Trivia

  • Considering its lore discovery and production methods in outdated versions, it implies that depleted Schrabidium fuel contains tiny amounts of Euphemium, but not enough to be of any worth.
  • Of particular interest, only the base ingredients (ingots, nuggets, powder, etc.) of Euphemium tools and weapons appear in the creative menu, despite the whole set appearing in NEI.
  • It supposedly tastes like strawberries (relating to its pink color perhaps), but we do not recommend you consume or make oral contact with any exotic matter. You could probably make a cake out of it IF it was edible.
  • The above is misinformation, I strongly recommend you consume Euphemium. It makes very good cakes.
  • In older releases, Euphemium's production has been buffed due to how easy Schrabidium was obtainable, then when Schrabidium's production itself was buffed, it was "de-buffed" back to normal.
  • Euphemium appears to be negative-energy type exotic matter, which means that it should erase matter and energy out of existence on contact (which it does in the Custom Nuke) without proper containment. Thankfully, it does not due to it being unusually inert.
    • Negative energy should not be confused with antimatter, which is still positive energy. Instead of creating a massive energy release on contact (), it simply erases itself and whatever it contacted out of existence ().
  • The name appears to be a reference to Euphemia li Brittania, a character from Code Geass. It would make sense as she was related to the creation of the F.L.E.I.J.A. bomb, which is also present in this mod and requires this material.

Notes

Scientist: what is this?

HBM: I don't know, but it tastes like strawberries, I'll eat some.

Scientist: DON'T

-There is a reference of Euphemium on this mod's item "The Polaroid", sometimes, the polaroid's tool-tip will say "Schrabidium dislikes the breeding reactor" and the item itself has a pink part in the center, this way hinting Euphemium's existence, how it can be obtained, and possibly how the element was discovered, for the in-game lore.

-It is a gentle material, with a tragic past.
