Chainsteel is a material added by Nuclear Tech Mod.
Production
Chainsteel is an incredibly expensive material, since one ingot of it requires 1024 (16 stacks of) dusted steel ingots. Dusted steel is made from steel and coal powder:
To make chainsteel, two dusted steel ingots have to be heated up in a furnace and combined in the smithing slots of an anvil (tier 3 or higher). This process yields forged dusted steel, which has to be heated once again and combined with more forged dusted steel. After being forged ten times, the recipe yields an ingot of chainsteel.
Note that ingots can only be forged when they're hot, and dusted steel cools rapidly, so it's advisable to forge ingots in bulk using entire stacks, and to have the furnace for reheating ingots in close proximity to the anvil.
Uses
The main use of chainsteel is in creation of the DNT Nanosuit. It is also used to create the Crucible and the shackles, an armor modification that allows for an infinite amount of revives (in practice, the amount is limited to 31). The shackles, however, can protect from radiation poisoning.
