Biogas

Biogas s a green-ish, flammable, combustible, and polluting gas, providing 62.5 kTU or 78.1 kHE per bucket. It is a gaseous intermediate of biofuel, with scarce use otherwise.

Production

Biogas can be made by breaking down biomass with compressed air in a chemical plant:

Chemical Plant
Inputs Recipe
Chemistry Template: Biogas Production

Production Time: 3.0 seconds

Inputs: Biomass, Compressed Air

Produces: Biogas

Compressed Air
4,000mB
Biogas
2,000mB

The industrial liquefaction machine can also produce biogas:

  • 1 Glyphid's Fluid Gland > 2000mB Biogas
  • 1 Biomass > 125mB Biogas

Uses

The primary use of biogas is in biofuel production:

Chemistry Template: Biofuel Transesferification

Production Time: 3.0 seconds

Inputs: Biogas, Ethanol

Produces: Biofuel

Biogas

250mB

Alternatively, it can be converted back into biomass in a solidifier:

  • 250mB Biogas > 1 Compressed Biomass
